So, I am sitting in front of my TV right now and watching the “English Leadership Debate” with representation from the five major political parties …. and twenty minutes into the debate I am already blown away by the insistence on the “GOLDEN STATE HANDSHAKE” from the leaders of NDP, Liberals, Bloc and Green Party. I am personally worried by the emphasis on state intervention. Like I mentioned to my fellow debate watchers right now …. THIS IS EXTREME SOCIALISM. “The state should do everything” ….. “Big businesses are all bad and are ripping off the ordinary canadians” …… I think this is misrepresentation to an extreme. So sad, that the bulk of our political leadership thinks (and insists) that govt knows better ………..
Sad … quite sad.
I am reminded of the advise from a close friends daughter …. “Maybe its time that the leaders of the parties should participate in “American Gladiators” for us to see what they are really made off”. Emily, I agree. I think you may have up with the smartest advise/recommendation of the night.
