Revolution Themes Series

So, this is a mixture of a sales pitch + a genuine review of a product that caught my attention recently. I recently moved back into web development after a hiatus of six years once I realized how big the social blogging phenomenon really was. During all this time there was one constant for me: that after being burnt once I swore to never use a predeveloped theme for a web product. I would say that if there was one web product that I avoided like black plague, it was themes. Themes (for websites, portals et al.) were (have been) tauted all over the web for their stellar value in terms of time and cost advantage and many of us who used them found that to be quiet deceptive.

My perception of “themes” and the quality that you can expect in a pre-developed, pre-configured theme has changed since I came across the product range developed by Brian Gardner (did not know him before) who has come out with a whole WP theme series by the name of Revolution Themes. I had an opportunity to see an implementation of the theme with a friend who is running a website using the theme, and is using it as a CMS for a blog news magazine. Its a fantastic range - actually blow your mind kind with a heady mix of sharpness, layout, blogs, forums, top up functionalities - and you should definitely check it out here. I plan to move www.manusharma.info to one of Brian’s themes in the near future. Best part, I hear Brian is great about email support and wont leave a customer in lurch. You have different buy options, can buy one particular theme or the whole series. If you get the series, you automatically get all future themes that will be released as a part of the revolution series.

Curios, click here and visit the revolution webpage. If you have been looking at using wordpress to do amazing things, you wont be disappointed.
